I'm a digital media professional with decades of experience as a copywriter, editorial strategist, web producer and content creator. I'm also...

• a wordsmith with flair whose work has appeared in print, magazine and online outlets. 
• an editor who has recruited writers, assembled editorial teams, produced style guides, maintained calendars and transformed pedestrian text into snappy marketing copy. 
• a team player willing to roll up my sleeves to meet deadlines, create wireframes, edit web pages in a CMS or write and post blog entries. 
• a generous mentor and committed life-long learner whose latest areas of interest are VR storytelling and AI Filmmaking. (Gotta know your competition, right?)
• a solutions-oriented idea woman enthusiastic about collaborating on forward-thinking initiatives, events and movements.

I've spent decades working in entertainment and technology, always aiming to practice my craft and challenge myself. That means side-hustling has been my ministry from DAY ONE. And, in the last few years alone, my willingness to accept comfort zone-pushing moonlighting assignments has given me the opportunity to lead a major entertainment project for a top branding/design studio and produce a podcast that went on to win TWO 2023 Webby Awards. All this while remaining hyper-engaged and volunteering for extracurricular projects at my day job.

I am now in the midst of a pivot; In May 2025, I graduated from the Stephens College low-residency TV + Screenwriting MFA program. But, why stop at just two master's degrees? (#1 is an M.S. in Journalism from Columbia University.) In Fall 2025, I will be joining the next cojort of the Narrative and Emerging Media MA program at the Downtown Los Angeles campus of Arizona State University.

Additionally,  I have a U.S. patent. I've written a novel. I publish opinion pieces when the spirit moves me. I'm a pug "kahu." I coordinate small- and medium-scale virtual and in-person alumni events on both coasts (highlights: 10+ years of Hollywood Bowl Fireworks Finale extravaganzas for the Carnegie Mellon L.A. Alumni Association; pre-show events with Leslie Odom Jr. and Billy Porter; theater night for 100 guests of the CMU NY Alumni Association + talkback with the original cast of Hamilton). I have a long history arranging corporate volunteer days. I'm a passionate and vocal advocate for Diversity & Inclusion initiatives – even when they're not corporate priorities. I'll never pass up a growth opportunity.

I'm a longtime Emmy voter (TV Academy) and a member of The Impact Guild (and SAG-AFTRA!). 

I'm on the Board of Directors of the Griffith Observatory Foundation (elected September 2020), the Latina Dance Project and the Carnegie Mellon Black Alumni Association Endowment, as well as president of the Carnegie Mellon University Los Angeles Alumni Association. I donate my time as a volunteer with organizations serving kids and teens in under-resourced schools, in foster care and those with incarcerated loved ones.

• "weekend warrior" athletics: I've completed three marathons, a few triathlons and a growing list of half-marathons 
• training in my Tai-Jutsu martial arts study
• ukulele classes
• eventually completing my DJ certification program (under the moniker DJ ISUS)
• eclipse chasing (my comments begin at 57:57)

I divide my time between New York, NY and Burbank, Calif.
