  • a wordsmith with flair whose work has appeared in print, magazine and online outlets.
  • an editor who has recruited writers, assembled editorial teams, produced style guides, maintained calendars and transformed pedestrian text into snappy marketing copy.
  • a team player willing to roll up my sleeves to meet deadlines, create wireframes, edit web pages in a CMS or write and post blog entries.
  • a generous mentor and committed life-long learner whose latest area of interest is VR storytelling.
  • a solutions-oriented idea woman enthusiastic about collaborating on forward-thinking initiatives, events and movements.

I was hired to be a marketing copywriter by the B2B products/solutions/IP company, Rovi, in 2012. In the subsequent years, I continued to be responsible for writing/editing marketing materials (product sheets, articles, video scripts, web copy), but with a focus on digital collateral. Rovi acquired (and rebranded as) TiVo in 2016; Xperi acquired TiVo in 2020. I'm still a part of the internal creative agency responsible for branding and marketing – now with a larger portfolio – including writing and publishing business-focused content on the TiVo blog.

Additionally,  I have a U.S. patent. I've written a novel. I'm a freelance writer. I publish opinion pieces when the spirit moves me. I'm a pug foster mom. I coordinate small- and medium-scale events on both coasts (ask me about orchestrating a Carnegie Mellon NYC theater night for 100+ alumni/friends to see "Hamilton" – the original cast – with a post-show talk-back in November 2015). I have a long history arranging corporate volunteer days. I'm a passionate and vocal advocate for Diversity & Inclusion initiatives – even when they're not corporate priorities. I'll never pass up a growth opportunity.

I'm a longtime Emmy voter (Interactive Media peer group/TV Academy) and a member of Film Independent, the AFI and the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, where I'm a proud Founding Supporter.

I'm on the Board of Directors of the Griffith Observatory Foundation (elected September 2020) and president of the Carnegie Mellon University Los Angeles Alumni Association. I donate my time as a volunteer with POPS the Club (serving high school students with incarcerated loved ones), Friends of Lockwood (elementary school) and Together We Rise (serving children in the foster care system). I'm a 10+-year volunteer docent with the Marion Davies Guest House at the Annenberg Community Beach House in Santa Monica.

I'm enthusiastic about:

  • my involvement with/membership in organizations including Friends of the Observatory, The L.A. Library Foundation Young Literati, The Walt Disney Family Museum and the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy
  • "weekend warrior" athletics: I've completed three marathons, a few triathlons and a growing list of half-marathons
  • ukulele classes
  • eventually completing my DJ certification program (under the moniker DJ ISUS)
  • eclipse-chasing

I divide my time between New York, NY and Burbank, Calif.
